Job Description:-
As a Test Engineer, you will work with a multi-functional team of Engineers to design and maintain world-class Condition Based Monitoring Systems and products for electrical utilities and industrial clients. This role is responsible for validating and testing Firmware and Software products for all assigned projects for various Qualitrol products around the world. A particular emphasis is placed on SW testing of monitoring products and the automation of the product testing process.
Job Responsibilities:-
Responsible for all product validation and testing.
In charge of designing and developing software test cases, test tools, and test scripts.
Create and lead the test automation strategy, as well as scripts for automated testing cycles.
Drive the validation of hardware platforms comprised of microcomputer-based systems with analogue and digital I/O.
Take part in all aspects of testing, such as functional, smoke, regression, and performance testing.
Software validation and verification are carried out using the Agile Scrum Methodology.
Required Skillsets:-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A master's degree is preferred.
Experienced in Software Test Automation.
Basic programming / scripting skills in Linux and/or Windows software development platforms in common languages such as Java, C#, C++, Python, and so on are required.
Database knowledge, primarily in SQL Server.
Understanding and experience with software automated testing tools.
EML stands for Extensible Markup Language (XML)
Networking protocols and IP networking
Understanding and experience with industrial communication protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP 3.0, MODBUS, and others.
Knowledge of protocol testing tools such as IEC Browser, IED Scout, Modbus Poll, and others.
Experience with fault location, recording, and/or power quality is preferred.
