Job Description:-
Our Aggregation Engineering group is looking for a Software Engineer to
join a team in charge of developing new aggregation infrastructure. By
acquiring and processing data from the internet, this infrastructure is
critical for powering various Lightcast products. The ideal candidate is a
skilled and current practitioner who can effectively collaborate with the
team and work closely with operations, product management, analysts, and
other departments.
Job Responsibilities:-
Enterprise application design, coding, testing, and deployment
using the Java and Python programming languages
SQL database design, coding, and maintenance
Knowledge of software development methodology, engineering tools,
and release processes is required.
Required Skillsets:-
0 to 3 years of industry experience
Working experience in global teams (geographically dispersed teams
working in different time zones) is preferred.
High motivation and the ability to passionately manage varying
priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and experience in
Agile development and Continuous Integration using TeamCity.
New tool and process familiarity for our web scraping, database, and
data feed groups
Excellent database knowledge: RDBMS (SQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Mango,
Hadoop, and others) preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of web scraping strategies and tools
Knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and GIT
