Job Description:-
Interning at Eventbrite is an unrivalled experience, whether you're
looking to tackle some massive technical scaling challenges, improve
user experience and performance, investigate how to support the future
of mobile ticketing, or simply want to help build a great product
alongside a great team. We're looking for Software Engineer Is who have
experience with at least one full web technology stack, have an eye for
great design and functionality, and have a knack for taking projects
from conception to production.
Required Skillsets:-
Experience developing software in any modern language (e.g.,
Kotlin, Java, C#, or Python) SQL database experience: MySQL,
PostgreSQL, etc.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. React,
Backbone/Marionette, and other modern front-end frameworks
You have design and development experience with APIs, both internal
service and HTTP APIs.
Efficient, practical programmer with a track record of writing
maintainable code Ability to take initiative and produce results
with excellent communication and collaboration skills - we place a
high value on teamwork.
You are a good communicator who enjoys mentoring junior engineers
as well as learning from more senior engineers.
You have 0-3 years of experience designing, architecting, building,
and maintaining software applications.
Tech Stack in Eventbrite:-
Eventbrite's primary tech stack is Python, Django, and MySQL, all
of which are hosted on AWS, and this is the primary sandbox in which
we play. However, because this team interacts with so many other
teams, there is the possibility that many other pieces of our
broader tech stack will be added (Redis, Cassandra, Kafka,
ElasticSearch, etc). We are also moving towards a micro-service
architecture and implementing newer technologies such as gRPC.
You will have the opportunity to integrate with Eventbrite's core
systems and interfaces, which are built on the backend with Django
and the frontend with React and Redux. We are entirely hosted on
AWS, with MySQL and PostgreSQL serving as the standard database
technologies.
