Job Responsibilities:-
Cover allocated projects with automated testing.
Make bug reports in the bug tracking system and ensure that the fixed bugs are verified.
Participate actively in daily project team meetings and brainstorming sessions about project issues.
Work with the project team
Make recommendations to the project leads on how to improve test automation and/or quality assurance procedures, systems, and tools.
Collaborate well with other testers, developers, and business partners on cross-functional and worldwide teams.
On-demand manual testing and monitoring of automation processes
Prepare result reports, defect status reports, and keep a record of any problem issues.
Keep up with technological advances and industry best practises in testing.
Present suggestions for manual and automated testing to the team for review/approval.
Active participation in enhancing overall product testability and release.
Required Skillsets:
We will consider you if you have a B.Sc in a related field/BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in any engineering discipline.
Experience with service and UI automation in online and mobile applications
Experience with Javascript/Python/Java programming in a Linux/Unix environment
Understanding of release management and deployment pipelines
Knowledge of SOA/Web Services, web servers, and clients
Understanding of many types of functional testing (brownie points for nonfunctional test understanding)
Methodologies for software design and quality assurance, including Agile approaches
Experience with distributed source control systems such as Git, Mercurial, and others is required, as as knowledge of one or more testing frameworks such as Junit/TestNG/PyTest.
A background in development would be advantageous.
Highly analytical, imaginative, and strategic thinker with the capacity to produce thorough detailed specifications
Excellent knowledge of QA techniques and QA Automation procedures
Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation abilities; ability to develop clear, succinct communications and documentation
In matrix organisations, I am extremely good at working in cross-functional groups and achieving outcomes.
Excellent time management abilities and the capacity to work on multiple assignments with varying priorities
Hands-on experience developing web/client-server systems with Python, Django/Flask, Nginx, MySql/MongoDB/Redis/Neo4J on Ubuntu/Debian/dockers or comparable stacks is required.
HTML5 and CSS prowess
Excellent knowledge of client-server architectures, asynchronous request processing, and partial page updates
Product-oriented reasoning - You should be able to choose the features and tactics that best fit the majority usage patterns if you develop to address problems for millions of people rather than just features tailored to individuals.
Excellent command of Python or an analogous scripting language such as PHP, Perl, Lua, Bash, etc.
Excellent JavaScript knowledge
Good understanding of React or an equivalent JS framework
Excellent analytical capabilities and a proclivity for decisiveness in the face of time-bound deliverables are required.
Excited to work in a fast-paced company and eager to address difficult problems in the field of technology applied to education.
The ability to script in bash and use browser automation scripts such as iMacros and Selenium will be advantageous.
You will get extra marks if you are familiar with GoLang, TypeScript, and Java, as well as CI/CD.
