Job Roles and Responsibilities:-
- Assist in the design, advancement, qualification, and maintenance of scalable software applications/systems.
- Work collaboratively with scrum members of the team to translate requirements into prototypes, functional requirements, technical designs, and implementation.
- Help drive technical direction for the testing of a complex software system by contributing to the definition, implementation, and testing of user stories.
- Advocate for product quality by leading in this competency on your scrum team.
- Assist in the development, execution, and maintenance of White Box and Black Box test suites to ensure regression coverage and software quality, with a focus on automated processes.
- Work with devs from other scrum teams to maintain technical design and code standards, particularly test code.
- As needed, triage and document test failures, validate the veracity of fixes, and ensure new regression coverage.
Required Skillsets:-
- 0-2 years of practical experience in software engineering or a related field
- Understanding of the principles of object-oriented design and development
- Proven experience testing scalable distributed software, including knowledge of concepts such as consensus, CAP, event-driven configurations, RabbitMQ, and asynchronous handling.
- Clear knowledge of and experience testing applications deployed on Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher, or other similar platforms for automating containerized deployment of applications, scalability, and management.
- Database expertise (e.g. NoSQL Key-Value storage, ACID concepts, distributed transactions)
- Networking knowledge (e.g., HTTP1.1/2, Remote RPC, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewall)
- Experience with Linux OS administration (RH based) and running tests of customised installations
- Knowledge of engineering processes (including Agile methodologies)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- The ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
